Dr Claire Martin MA MB BChir PhD MRCP

Dr Claire Martin is clinical director of Cambridge Cardiac and personally conducts all medical treatments and consultations.

Claire is a highly experienced consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist. She trained at the University of Cambridge as well as three world-leading cardiac centres: Royal Papworth Hospital, Barts Heart Centre London and Hôpital du Haut-Lévêque, Bordeaux. She has pioneered new clinical treatments including Farapulse and Affera pulsed field ablation for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, each first performed in the UK at Royal Papworth Hospital by teams she led or co-led.

Claire is at the forefront of cardiology research, having published widely in peer-reviewed journals. She holds an Affiliated Associate Professorship at the University of Cambridge and the positions of Assistant Director of Research and Development and Research Lead for Cardiac Rhythm Management at Royal Papworth Hospital. She advises leading medical device companies on device development and clinical best practice, including Boston Scientific, Biosense Webster, Medtronic and Abbott.
